Privacy policy for Splot Arkanów
This English text is a translation provided for information only and is not legally binding. Only the Polish version is binding; in the event of any discrepancy or doubt as to interpretation, the Polish version prevails.
The Polish version is effective from the date of its publication on the Service. The date of this version is shown above the text.
1. Controller and contact
The data controller is Michał Brewiński, osoba fizyczna prowadząca działalność nierejestrowaną, operating the Splot Arkanów Service (splotarkanow.pl). Contact in data protection matters: [email protected], Gosławice 2, 99-311 Bedlno. The Service is free of charge, does not provide accounts, does not sell anything and does not display advertising.
2. Calculator and technical data
You enter your birth date in your browser; calculations take place on your device. The date, including another person’s date in a comparison, is not sent to the server or saved in browser storage by the Service. It disappears from the page’s memory when you close the page. You share graphics yourself; they do not contain a birth date.
When you open a page, your browser sends technical data, including your IP address, requested page address, time and browser information. Cloudflare processes these to deliver and secure the site and produce basic traffic statistics. Cloudflare may use security cookies depending on settings; these are described in the cookie policy.
Only with your consent, and on the Polish-language pages only, do we additionally run the Cloudflare Web Analytics script. It reads page speed measurements from the browser and sends them to Cloudflare together with the address of the page visited, the address of the page you came from (referrer) and browser information; as with any connection, Cloudflare also receives your IP address. Reports cover visits, referral source, country, device type, browser and operating system. We do not transmit birth dates, calculator results, email addresses or correspondence contents in this measurement. The measurement runs only on public content pages: the home page with the calculator, couple compatibility, arcana, guides, “Jak policzyć matrycę” (How to calculate the matrix) and “Temat roku” (Theme of the year). It does not cover contact, documents, error pages, addresses with parameters or the English and Ukrainian pages, which have neither a consent request nor the script. The measurement uses no cookies or persistent personal identifier. We only save your choice and the time you made it in localStorage to respect your consent or refusal. Details are in the cookie policy.
3. Purposes, legal bases and periods
| Data | Purpose and legal basis | Period |
|---|---|---|
| Technical request data | Delivery and security of the site and traffic statistics; our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) | The Service does not enable Workers Logs or Logpush. Data and reports at Cloudflare are retained according to the provider’s functions and settings; periods depend on the data type and plan. Selected request analytics datasets on the Free plan have at least 31 days’ retention. |
| Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics measurements | Understanding visits and improving page speed; consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and consent to access information from the device under Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law) | According to the provider, unsampled data is retained for 7 days, then aggregated and sampled; history available in the dashboard: 6 months. |
| Statistics choice and its time in localStorage | Remembering and respecting your consent or refusal; our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), with storage needed to handle the choice | The choice is valid for 180 days; after expiry it does not activate measurement and we will ask for your choice again. The entry stays in your browser until it is replaced by your next choice or until you delete it; it is not sent to us. |
| Correspondence: sender’s address, content, attachments and data contained in the message | Responding to questions, complaints and reports; our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Handling requests to exercise GDPR rights also on the basis of a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Article 12 GDPR). | We delete ordinary correspondence and documentation of a GDPR request at the next monthly review after 12 months have elapsed from closure of the matter. For a dispute or claim, we retain necessary data until the matter ends and the applicable limitation period expires, or longer if required by law. |
Our legitimate interests are Service availability and security, understanding traffic, responding to messages, and establishing, pursuing or defending claims. After messages are deleted from our mailbox, copies held by providers may disappear later under their rules; we do not control the timing of their technical copies.
4. Recipients of data
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, statistics and forwarding of messages sent to [email protected]. Google provides the Service owner’s private Gmail mailbox to which Cloudflare forwards correspondence. According to Google, consumer services in the EEA are generally provided by Google Ireland Limited, which also processes data under its own terms. Cloudflare and Google receive data needed to provide these services, including the sender’s address, content and attachments for email. Google describes consumer Gmail in its own privacy policy. We may also disclose data to competent authorities or advisers when required by law or necessary to establish, pursue or defend claims.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Cloudflare and Google use infrastructure in various countries, so data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the USA. Cloudflare states that it uses standard contractual clauses for transfers from the EEA and, for transfers to the USA, also the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Google states that it uses adequacy decisions for its international transfers, including the DPF for Google LLC, or standard contractual clauses where required. The DPF is based on European Commission Decision (EU) 2023/1795. More information about safeguards and available copies of documents can be obtained via [email protected].
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase data and restrict processing. You also have the right to data portability where statutory conditions are met, and to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, PUODO), ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warszawa, Poland. Exercise your rights by writing to [email protected].
Withdrawal of consent
Consent to additional statistics is voluntary. You may withdraw it at any time: the “Ustawienia statystyk” (Statistics settings) button in the footer of the Polish-language pages opens the “Dobrowolne statystyki” (Optional statistics) section, where you choose “Bez statystyk” (No statistics). On the English pages the measurement script is not loaded. Withdrawal does not affect calculator operation or the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. If the script was already running, the page reloads to stop it. Withdrawal does not disable basic data necessary to deliver and protect the site or server-side traffic reports. If you are under 16, do not enable the additional statistics.
Right to object
For reasons relating to your particular situation, you may object to processing based on legitimate interest, including processing of technical data, server-side traffic statistics and correspondence. We will stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your interests, rights and freedoms, or the data is needed to establish, pursue or defend claims.
Time limits and other information
We will respond to requests without undue delay, at the latest within one month. Taking into account the complexity and number of requests, this may be extended by a further two months; we will inform you of the extension and reasons within the first month. Providing contact details is voluntary, but without a way to contact you we cannot respond to your message. Technical data is needed to deliver the site. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you.
7. Security and changes
We use an encrypted connection and restrictions on resources loaded by the site; the calculator operates locally. If our processing changes, we will update this document. Information about cookies is in the cookie policy.
This policy is drawn up in Polish. Its English and Ukrainian versions are translations provided for information only; in the event of any discrepancy, the Polish version prevails.
