Terms of service for Splot Arkanów

This English text is a translation provided for information only and is not legally binding. Only the Polish version is binding; in the event of any discrepancy or doubt as to interpretation, the Polish version prevails.

The Polish version is effective from the date of its publication on the Service. The date of this version is shown above the text.

1. About the Service and these terms

Splot Arkanów (the “Service”) operates at splotarkanow.pl. It is run by Michał Brewiński, osoba fizyczna prowadząca działalność nierejestrowaną (the “Provider”). Contact details: [email protected], Gosławice 2, 99-311 Bedlno. The same details are always available on the Contact page, linked in the footer of every page.
All Service features are free: the matrix calculator, couple comparison, arcana descriptions, guides and shareable graphics. The Service does not provide user accounts, sell anything or accept payments. The Service displays no advertising (section 5).
These terms govern use of the Service. They are available free of charge before use begins (Article 8 of the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means): a link appears in the footer of every page. You can save or print them from your browser, and we will email them as a PDF upon request.
Contact us about any matter at [email protected] or by post at Gosławice 2, 99-311 Bedlno. We try to answer messages within a few days and answer complaints within 14 days (section 6).
The Service operates in Polish, and some of its pages also have an English version (addresses beginning with /en/) and a Ukrainian version (/uk/). The terms of service, privacy policy and cookie policy are drawn up in Polish; their English and Ukrainian versions are translations provided for information only. In the event of any discrepancy, the Polish version prevails.

2. Entertainment, no advice or predictions

The Service is entertainment and an invitation to self-reflection. The birth date matrix is a numerological method that is not supported by scientific research.
Nothing on the Service is a prediction or promise. Arcana descriptions are suggestions for reflection, not facts about you or your future.
The Service does not provide medical, psychological, financial or legal advice and cannot replace it. Do not base important life decisions on results from the Service. When you need help, consult an appropriate professional.
As a rule, Service texts do not discuss health, illness, pregnancy, medicines or diets, promise money or earnings, predict events, or frighten people with karma, curses or “blocks”. We do not offer paid “removal” of anything on the Service. If you see text that breaks these rules, write to us: we will check it and correct it if necessary.
The arcana descriptions are written anew for the Service.

3. Age and technical requirements

Anyone may use the calculator and content. Consent to optional statistics (section 5.3) may be given by a person aged at least 16.
To use the Service you need a device with internet access and an up-to-date browser, such as a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. The calculator, couple comparison and shareable graphics require JavaScript to be enabled.
Introducing unlawful content into the Service and disrupting its operation, including overloading it with requests, is prohibited.

4. Calculator and birth data

The calculator calculates the matrix in your browser. The birth date entered, including another person’s date in a couple comparison, is neither sent to the server nor stored by the Service. Details are in the privacy policy.
Your browser creates the shareable graphic. It contains no birth date. The result graphic shows one arcanum from your matrix with an illustration and a short description, while the invitation graphic shows no result; both carry the Service name and address. You decide whether and with whom to share it.
When entering another person’s birth date, you do so at your own responsibility and only to the extent that you are entitled to do so.

5. Advertising and visitor statistics

The Service displays no advertising and does not use Google AdSense advertising. If this changes, we will update the documents and settings beforehand.
Infrastructure provider Cloudflare creates traffic statistics from requests passing through its servers. These statistics require no browser script or cookies. The data available in the dashboard depends on settings and plan.
In addition, on the Polish-language pages only and only with your consent, we run the Cloudflare Web Analytics script, which measures visits and page speed. Consent is voluntary: without it the Service works the same way. You give or refuse it in the “Dobrowolne statystyki” (Optional statistics) section in the footer; the “Ustawienia statystyk” (Statistics settings) button lets you change your decision and withdraw consent at any time. We remember your choice in browser storage (localStorage) for 180 days. The English and Ukrainian pages have neither the consent request nor this script.
Details of the statistics, including the scope of data and retention periods, are in the privacy and cookie policies.

6. Complaints

Submit a complaint about the Service in any form, most easily to [email protected]. Describe the problem and give the address of the page concerned.
We answer a complaint within 14 days of receiving it, by email or post. If Article 7a of the Polish Act on Consumer Rights applies to a consumer’s complaint and we do not respond within that time, the complaint is deemed accepted.
A complaint may concern, for example, a calculation error, a page that does not open, a shareable graphic that does not work or an error in the text. An arcana description is a suggestion for reflection (section 2), so the mere difference between the description and your experience is not a defect of the Service. This does not limit your statutory rights.
If we do not uphold a complaint, our response will state whether we agree to out-of-court dispute resolution. You may also seek help from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (miejski lub powiatowy rzecznik konsumentów) or a Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection (Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej) (information: prawakonsumenta.uokik.gov.pl) and bring a case before a court.

7. Copyright and rules for using content

The Service’s layout and graphic design and texts written or creatively developed by a human are protected by copyright. Some Service content is created with artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including card illustrations (section 7.3). Text or images generated by AI without creative human input are not works under copyright law, so we do not claim copyright in them. Use of Service content, regardless of how it was created, is governed by section 7.2.
Rules for using content: a) you may read and use Service content for your own personal use; b) you may share Service graphics with friends and on social media; c) you may quote short excerpts with attribution (Splot Arkanów, splotarkanow.pl); d) you may not copy Service texts or card illustrations for commercial purposes or publish them as your own. These rules do not limit rights granted to you by law, such as permitted use (dozwolony użytek).
The card illustrations are new interpretations inspired by Pamela Colman Smith’s 1909 drawings, which are in the public domain. They are not scans of old cards: we generated the illustrations using an AI tool (Google Gemini), and a human selected and checked each one. We do not claim copyright in AI-generated images (section 7.1); their use is governed by section 7.2.
Other parties’ names and trademarks, if they appear on the Service, belong to their owners and are used descriptively only. The Service is not affiliated with them.

8. Liability

We strive to keep the Service operating continuously and correctly, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. It may be temporarily unavailable, for example because of technical work or a failure.
We are liable for damage under the rules laid down by law. The Service is entertainment and does not provide advice (section 2), so you make life decisions independently.
The owners of third-party websites linked from the Service are responsible for their content. If we learn that such content is unlawful, we will respond in accordance with section 13.

9. Services and contracts

We provide the following electronic services free of charge: a) the matrix calculator and couple comparison; b) creation of shareable graphics; c) access to content (arcana descriptions and guides).
A contract to use the calculator and content is concluded when you open the first page of the Service and is terminated when you close all its pages. You may stop using it at any time, at no cost and without giving a reason. Each subsequent visit to the Service is a new contract under the terms in force on that day.

10. Risks

Using the internet involves risks including phishing and malicious software. The Service does not ask for passwords or card details, does not ask you to log in and does not send emails containing login links. A message claiming to be from the Service and requesting such data is not from us. The cookie policy describes what data the Service stores in your browser and what scripts it runs (including the optional statistics script under section 5.3).

11. Personal data and cookies

The privacy policy describes how personal data is processed, and the cookie policy describes cookies and browser storage. Both documents are available in the Service footer.

12. Changes to the terms

The terms may change, for example because of changes in law, Service features or providers. We publish the changed terms on the Service with their effective date.
A change applies to visits from that date. Earlier visits (section 9.2) are governed by the terms in force at the time.
The version dated 28 October 2026 is the first version of the terms. From the first change onward, we will make previous versions and their effective dates available on the Service.

13. Reporting unlawful content

The Service publishes only its own content. It does not store content submitted by users. Nevertheless, you may report content you consider unlawful or infringing your rights, for example copyright or personal rights (dobra osobiste).

Write to [email protected]. Provide: a) the page address or another description that allows us to find the content; b) what you consider unlawful or infringing your rights and why; c) your name and email address so that we can reply.
A human reviews the report. We will confirm receipt and then tell you what we have decided as soon as possible.
If you disagree with our decision, write again to the same address: we will review the matter again. You may also pursue your rights in court or contact the competent authority.

14. Final provisions

The applicable law is Polish law. If you are a consumer, the choice of Polish law does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you have your habitual residence. Disputes are resolved by courts with jurisdiction under the general rules.
